Author Guide
Authors should use the following data when uploading articles to MATAD.

- Articles should be prepared and viewed in MS Word 2019 or higher.
- The page size must be A4 (21cm x 29.7cm).
- Articles submitted to the journal must include an abstract of not less than 150 words and not more than 200 words. All abstracts in articles should be written in "Arial Nova" font, 9 point size, single-spaced, and 0 pt. References, figures, and tables should not be included in the abstract. The abstract title should be 11 pt.
- Below the abstract, there should be keywords consisting of 5 words.
- The languages of Malazgirt Journal of Historical Research are Turkish and English.
- Papers presented at any symposium or congress may be published with the name, location, and date of the congress, and expanded text. For papers supported by a research institution or fund (BAP, TÜBİTAK, DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, etc.), the name of the supporting organization and project number must be provided in the appropriate place on the first page.
- Articles should be prepared with an introduction, development, and conclusion. They should include citations and a bibliography.
- The work must adhere to grammatical rules. The article's spelling guide for the relevant language should be consulted for punctuation, spelling of words, and abbreviations. For example, the Turkish Language Association (TDK) spelling guide should be used as a guide. Clear and concise narrative style should be followed, and unnecessary information beyond the purpose and scope should be avoided.
- An article should include the abstract, main text sections, bibliography, and appendices (if any). To ensure a clear order in the work, headings should be numbered as shown in the template.
- First-level headings should be written in Arial Nova 12 point font, second-level headings in Arial Nova 11 point font, and third-level headings in Arial Nova Italic 11 point font.
- Photographs, figures and tables should be included as shown in the template.
- The author's personal information should not be included when the manuscript is first uploaded to the journal. For manuscripts that have completed the peer-review process, the author should download the first page from the journal's website, enter all the information completely, and upload it as a supplementary file. The main text should be uploaded as a single file, starting with the introduction.
- Authors must submit plagiarism reports along with their articles.
